Hybrids
A wide sole can still lie with its toe
Hybrids in Utah Valley often sit like spoons and then contact like short irons. The polish hides on a big footprint. We still find it. We ram only when the hosel is a hosel, not a welded rumor from a hollow body that was never meant to travel.
The tell
Toe-dig on a hybrid looks like a fat iron with better public relations
Players describe a “heavy” hybrid from the right rough at East Bay. The copper often shows a toe that arrived first and a heel that never worked. They bought a more upright head because a chart said they were tall. The canyon dirt was not consulted. We consult it.
Because the sole is wide, the moon is fainter. Reed uses a slightly thicker wash and a lower sun angle from the sandstone window — when winter has stolen the sun, the overheads. Photographs still happen. Memory still cowers.
Refusal
Some hollow bodies are marketing, not metal that wants a bite
If the hosel is a short sleeve on a shell, we will audit and send you out with photographs. That is the $48 fare doing honest work. If someone else already creased it, we add it to the clipboard and we do not collect a ram charge.
